The legendary hand-painted bass drumskin used on the front cover of the Beatles’ ground-breaking 1967 album Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band, painted by Joe Ephgrave, a fairground artist. Apparently Joe was paid £25 for the drum painting and disappeared soon afterwards.
