He eventually moved back to the UK in 1990, opening a stained glass business with his brother, called Lead Charm, which saw some success, but was badly hit by the financial crash in 2008.
Having always been interested in art and having worked in stained glass Paul decided it was time to combine his two passions and start creating glass wall art. He knew he wanted to design a piece of art with John Lennon in, but felt there are so many iconic images that he needed to create something unique,
“He’s looking back at two cities that meant the most to him – Liverpool and New York. I wanted to make it look like two cities under the same sky…As far as I know, there’s no one in the world who does what I’m doing at the moment – I can’t keep up with demand.”
Paul doesn’t like to say exactly how he makes the prints, but said: “I absolutely love doing it.”
