Simon Trent

Simon Trent was born in 1960 in Burslem, Staffordshire.

He currently lives on the Staffordshire Moorlands and worked in the steel and engineering industry and since his semi-retirement has pursued his love of painting.

Working mainly in acrylics, Simon is a self-taught artist. He has drawn on his own personal experiences and memories of his industrial life to develop his atmospheric style.

Unashamedly he admits he is heavily influenced by the work of L.S. Lowry, particularly his naive approach and this is evident in his finished work.

Simon Trent’s newfound free time has given him a new direction in life, and the artistic side of him is now able to express itself to the full.
