Prudence Turner

Prudence Turner was born on the 15th March 1930 in India and lived mostly in London until her death in 2007. She developed a gift for painting at a very early age, her first recognition being at the age of four when she competed in a national competition against an eleven to fourteen age group.

Although mainly self-taught, she lived and studied in many countries, including Egypt, India and France. Her talent covers a wide field, including portraits, abstract and landscape, both factual and fantasy. She is most celebrated for her highland landscapes painted in a characteristic and impressive style.
