Paola Cassais
Paola Cassais was born in Florence Italy in 1970. Her exquisite original paintings bring memories of sun-drenched holidays spent on the beach. The hustle and bustle of crowds from dawn until dusk, soaking up the sun and making happy memories.Paola Cassais was born in Florence Italy in 1970. She is a self-taught artist who started her artistic working life as an interior designer and window dresser but always painted in her spare time. She was highly influenced by her father who was also a artist.
Paola Cassais has always been inspired by local Italian landscapes and the interaction within the community.
Her firm conviction about transforming art and her commitment to the environment led her to be part of a significant group of artists in Italy who created new figurative approaches to Informalism. As a result of this, Paola develops work with expression and character.
In the nineties she began a period in which she became interested in the urban landscape, reducing it to a chromatic range of greys, blues and ochres that constitute what has been called “spaces of solitude”.
In recent years Paola Cassais has taken a turn towards the investigation of the static movement in painting, the crowd has become the reference to talk about the problem of painting and visual rhythm.
At the Unicorn Gallery we are proud to showcase Paola’s distinctive style, exploring a range of themes. Her exquisite paintings exemplify Paola’s mastery of form, colour and emotion and they are sure to add elegance and fascination to any space.
