Lukey

Lukey is a very well-known professional artist who paints underneath this nom de plume. Intriguingly we are given no back-story to Lukey, but this gives us the freedom to form our own opinions on this artist’s work without the heavy weight of preconception. Everything remains an adventure with Lukey, you are able to live in that adventurous and magical land with each piece that he creates.

A mixed media graffiti artist who creates the cheeky characters of some of our favourite cartoon icons in his unique style. 

Lukey paints his characters freehand and finishes them with a sleek contemporary resin coating.

Lukey art asks you to open your eyes and your mind to the beautifully peculiar. With a style that seems to take influence from graffiti culture and cartoons, but adds it’s own psychedelic touch. There is an almost childlike quality to the pieces of art, but this itself is then placed in friction which something with a little bit more edge. The pure joy, excitement and vitality of the colours jumping out at you then lifts this intriguing combination of moods into its own space entirely.
