Spanish artist J. M. Reyes has developed an Avant-garde reputation for his highly intricate still life paintings. Extreme close-ups of grapes appear as luminous marbles inviting appreciators of both traditional and contemporary art to gaze in awe.Discerning collectors may have already encountered his talent; he was commissioned by Jerez, the home of sherry, to adorn the Spainsh city with his painting during it’s celebration as the European City of Wine in 2014. Reyes paintings exude a pure, warm continental soul, his intoxicating strokes depicting ripe fruit from sun-baked soil.
Reyes artistic achievements to date are impressive with participation in exhibitions across Spain and Portugal, including Barcelona, Seville, Lisbon and Sintra. His career has furthered into both the US and UK markets.
