Javier Mulio
Born in Alicante, Spain, Javier Mulio was brought up within the artistic community of Alcoy. This influence encouraged him to take up painting at the age of fourteen. At the age of eighteen Javier Mulio began his formal Art training. He studied under the Spanish artist and teacher Mila Gomez in Alcoy from 1973-76. Javier Mulio began painting professionally after he completed his schooling in 1978. Since this time he has regularly exhibited at galleries in Spain, France, the UK and the USA to critical acclaim.
Javier Mulio has an almost hyper-realistic style of painting. Simple still life compositions of glass, fruit and liquid with exquisite lighting in uncomplicated surroundings. His paintings reflect a timeless serenity and are always carefully balanced in colour, shape and texture. He has dedicated his life to painting still-life using the techniques of the Dutch masters but with a more contemporary use of colour and elements.
Javier’s style has been met with great success, including international exhibitions at the Galeria Sanchez, Granada, Spain in 1982; Galeria Aquado, Logrono, Spain in 1995 and Galeria Soria, Chateauroux, France in 1996.
In 1997 his work became available in the United States, where he has enjoyed further recognition at national art shows including the New York Art expo, International Atlanta Art Buyers Caravan and numerous One Man Shows across the United States.
We are proud to have represented Javier Mulio since 2016. His exquisite detailed still life paintings are admired by both customers coming into the gallery and we have sold them through the website to customers all over the world.
