The son of a Master Blacksmith, Gunther Burr was born in Wuerzburg, Germany in 1943. He started taking classes at Art School at 14 and soon became familiar with a variety of art and design techniques.
By 1960 he was being supported and encouraged by Studien Professor Buechl, leading to his first group exhibition in Wuerzburg in 1963. By 1982 Burr’s paintings were presented at one of Germany’s most important Art Fairs, Ambiente Frankfurt, announcing his arrival to the world.
In the years since, Burr has lived, worked and exhibited all over the world, including Canada, the USA, Europe and the UK.
