Gunther Georg Burr was born in Wuerzburg, Germany in 1943, he is the son of a Master Blacksmith. He started taking classes at Art School at 14 and soon became familiar with a variety of art and design techniques.
By 1960 Burr was being supported and encouraged by Studien Professor Buechl, leading to his first group exhibition in Wuerzburg in 1963. And in 1982 Gunther Burr’s paintings were presented at one of Germany’s most important Art Fairs, Ambiente Frankfurt, announcing his arrival to the world.
In recent years Gunther Burr’s paintings have developed more abstractions, they speak of both profoundness and eternity.
Burr’s opinion is that paintings should always be positive attendants in the human environment, no matter how emotional they are.
Guther Georg Burr has lived, worked and exhibited all over the world, including Canada, the USA, Europe and the UK.
