Gary McNamara

Gary McNamara was born in Liverpool in 1965. He has a very successful illustration background covering the last 30 years.

From the age of 23, Gary worked freelance as a commercial illustrator for many of the biggest publishing houses in the world, focusing mostly on extremely well-known children’s characters. 

Since becoming a fine artist Gary McNamara has concentrated on figurative painting, exploring and experimenting with various mediums to create depth and movement in his original work.

Gary McNamara’s stunning figurative acrylic and mixed media paintings demonstrate his idea to bring the beauty of nature together with more figurative work.
